William "Billy" Joseph Blevins

William Joseph Blevins, better known as Billy, age 75 of Lenoir, formerly of Ashe County, died on Friday, August 30, 2019 at Caldwell Hospice and Palliative Care in Lenoir. Mr. Bevins was born in Pembrooke, Virginia on Thursday, April 20, 1944 to Nathaniel Clifford and Ruth Hudler Blevins. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Nathaniel C. Blevins, Jr. and Kenneth Blevins. Billy liked working at his job, drawing, attending church and spending time and keeping up with family members.

Mr. Blevins is survived by: his sister in-law, Beverly Blevins of Dowing Town, PA, his caregivers, Kenneth and Suzanne Hogans of Lenoir, four nieces and nephews as well as a number of great nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 3, 2019 at 2:30pm at Ashelawn Memorial Chapel by Pastor Jim Lee. Burial will follow in Ashelawn Memorial Gardens. The body will lie in state thirty minutes prior to the service at Ashelawn.
