William "Benny" Benjamin Medley

William Benjamin Medley, better known as Benny age, 58 of Crumpler passed away on Saturday, October 22, 2022 at his sister’s home.  Benny was born on April 5, 1964 in Ashe County, North Carolina to the late James and Ruby Shaw Medley.  In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by a brother, Jessie Dale Medley and a sister, Linda Medley Hamm.

Mr. Medley is survived by four sisters, Elaine Saddler (Joe) of Lexington, Vanessa Dishman (Michael) of Jefferson and Rebecca Perry (James) and Regina Perry (Jessie) both of Sparta, four brothers, Alvin Medley (Shirley) of Lansing, Fred Medley (Wilma) of Piney Creek, Keith Medley of Sparta and Mark Medley (Jessica) of Jefferson and companion, Barbara Bennette. Survivors also include special friends, Kelly and Mark Vannoy, "Shorty" and family and "Little Brother" and family. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

The family would like to extend their gratitude and appreciation to Vannoy Construction Company as well as to all of Benny's co-workers for always being there for him throughout the over 30 years he had worked for the company.  Also a special thank you to both Ashe and Alleghany Hospice nurses for all they have done for him.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, October 26, 2022 at 11:00am at Badger Funeral Home Chapel by Elder Robert Shatley and Rev. Dean Shaw.  Burial will follow in the Jefferson City Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, October 25th from 5:00-7:00pm at Badger Funeral Home.
