Timothy Paul Jones

Timothy Paul Jones, age 57 of Gold Hill, NC, passed away at his home on Wednesday, November 1, 2023. He was born on October 17, 1966, in Rowan County, North Carolina, to his loving parents, Haril Dean Jones and Mary Poteat Jones Strickland. 

He was preceded in death by his father, Haril Dean Jones, as well as his paternal grandparents, Earl and Nettie Jones, and his maternal grandparents, Bill and Elvia Poteat, along with three uncles, Charlie Clinton Jones, Jimmie Poteat, and Kenneth Poteat.

Mr. Jones was a dedicated pipe fitter in the construction industry. A man of faith, Timothy found solace in his Christian beliefs and was saved at a young age. Timothy also had a passion for raising horses, a hobby that brought him immense joy and allowed him to connect with the outdoors. He found solace in nature, particularly while fishing and deer hunting, activities he held dear to his heart.

Mr. Jones leaves behind cherished memories and will be deeply missed by those who survive him, including his son, Adam McCrae Jones of Richfield, NC; his mother, Mary Jones Strickland of Hemphill, TX; his brother, Jamie Carroll Dean Jones of El Paso, TX; and his two sisters, Mary Charlotte Jones Green and Melisa Dawn Jones, both of Abbeville, LA.

He is also survived by his loving aunt, Ruth Eastridge of Warrensville, and his uncle, Gwyn Jones of Cooleemee, NC, along with a host of other relatives and friends who will remember him fondly.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm on Saturday, November 11, 2023 at Badger Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow in the Welch Cemetery in Warrensville by Rev. James Harris. 

His presence will be deeply missed, but his memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
