Sue (Howell) Blevins

Sue Howell Blevins age 76 of Rockingham, formerly of Jefferson, passed away Monday, August 21, 2023 at Richmond County Hospice Haven in Rockingham.  Mrs. Blevins was born September 21, 1946 in Ashe County to the late Fred Elmer Howell and Naomi Ruth Baker Howell.  In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by two brothers, Gary and Wayne Howell and a sister, Treva Rutherford.  She was a graduate of Ashe Central High School.  Sue enjoyed spending time with her family, attending church, singing and watching basketball games.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 pm Friday, August 25, 2023 at Shiloh Baptist Church Cemetery by Rev. Warner Eller.  The family will receive friends following the service.

Mrs. Blevins is survived by her daughter, Patty Gambill (Marty) of Crumpler,  son, Ricky Blevins (Stephanie) of Elizabethtown, Kentucky, brother, Sam Howell of Crumpler, sister, Leota Arnold of Yorklyn, Delaware,  grandchildren, Ethan Blevins, Lucas Blevins, Farrah Gambill and Haley Gambill. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
