Steve Smith Latham

Steve Smith Latham, age 74 of Woodlawn, VA, passed away on Tuesday, January 17, 2023 at Twin County Regional Hospital in Galax. Mr. Latham was born on January 12, 1949 in Ashe County, NC to Ennis Pell and Pauline Shepherd Latham. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sons, David Eric Latham and Tony Latham, a daughter, Angela Tarlton, and a sister, Maxine Shatley. He enjoyed fishing and working on old cars.

Mr. Latham is survived by one daughter, Misty Hohman of Laurel Springs; one brother, James Latham of Crumpler; one sister, Charlotte Lewis of Todd; five grandchildren, David Eric Latham, Brad Taylor, Dustin Hamm, Abi Kolseth, and Jared Hohman; also surviving are one great-grandchild and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held Sunday, January 29, 2023 at 2:00 pm at Ashelawn Memorial Gardens by Rev. Steve Ashley.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family in care of Ashelawn Memorial Chapel, 3470 U.S. Highway 221 North, Jefferson, NC 28640.
