Robert Grubbs Britton

Robert Grubbs Britton, better known as Bob, age 83 of Jefferson, died Tuesday, November 12, 2019 at Ashe Memorial Hospital.  Mr. Britton was born April 29, 1936 in Winston Salem, NC to the late Oscar and Addie Slater Grubbs.  In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his sister Evola Ketner and son-in-law, Howard Hartsfield.

Funeral mass will be held at 10:00 AM Wednesday, November 20, 2019 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church by Father James Stuhrenberg.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery. A reception will follow in the fellowship hall after the burial.

Mr. Britton is survived by, his wife, Anne Butler Britton, daughters, Shannon Britton Hartsfield, Robyn Britton both of FL and Paige Authement, sister, Dorothy Burkette (Rev. David) of Johnson City, TN, six grandchildren, Sabrina and Arienne Hartsfield, Cassidy, Darby Britton, Addison and Countess Authement and several nieces and nephews.
