Mildred (Pruitt) Rash

Mildred May Pruitt Rash, age 78 of Morganton, passed away Thursday, November 2, 2023 at her home.  Mrs. Rash was born June 5, 1945 in Ashe County to the late General Solomon and Gladys Combs Pruitt. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband, Gene “Bud” Rash, sisters, Brenda Combs and Reba Wilcox and brothers, Beauford, Ricky and Ronda Pruitt. She loved reading and cooking. She loved spending time with her family most of all.  

Mrs. Rash is survived by her daughter, Angie Whisnant (Tommy) of Morganton, grandchildren, Quita Griffin (George Griffin, Jr.) and Adrian Trey Locklear,  great-grandchildren, Perry Harmon and Damon Griffin and step-grandchildren, Joshua, Brandi and Taylor Griffin.  Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 7, 2023 at 12:00 noon at Badger Funeral Home by Rev. Gavin Jones.  Burial will follow in the Rash Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00-12:00 noon prior to the service at Badger Funeral Home.
