Judy Ann (Greer) Poe

Judy Ann Greer Poe, age 76 of Lansing, passed away on Thursday, August 11, 2022 at her home.  Mrs. Poe was born on February 2, 1946 in Ashe County, North Carolina to the late Victor and Agnes Ham Greer.  In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by one sister, Linda Tedder and two brothers, Eddie Dean "Slick" and Marvin Greer.

Mrs. Poe was a member of Shelter Baptist Church, she enjoyed taking pictures, working in her flowers and gardening.  Judy loved spending time with her grandchildren, husband and sons and she will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother and wife.

Mrs. Poe is survived by, her husband, Roger Poe, three sons, Craig (Melinda), Ronnie and Ricky (Michelle) Poe all of Lansing, five sisters, Georgia Greer of West Jefferson and Ella Mae Shepherd (Ralph) of Winston Salem, Geneva Spencer (Kenny) of Lansing, Lenna Rineair of Fitzgerald, GA and Delphia Block of La Jolla, CA, two brothers, Richard Greer of Lansing and Robert Greer of Kannapolis.  Eleven grandchildren, Leigh Harrold, Austin Poe, Lance Harrold, Joshua Poe, Tanner Poe, Landyn Poe, Olivia Poe, Dakota Poe, Jed Lewis, Olivia Lewis and  Emily Lewis. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held at 4:00 pm Sunday, August 14, 2022 at Badger Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Michael Greer and Rev. Louis Young.  Burial will follow in the Scott-Blevins Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 2:00 – 4:00 pm prior to the service.
