John Carlton Brandt

John Carlton Brandt, better known as “Carl” or “Grumpy,” age 68 of Grassy Creek, passed away on Sunday, March 5, 2023, at his home. Mr. Brandt was born on September 7, 1954, in Pennsylvania to John “Jack” Henry Brandt, Jr. and Jean Austin Brandt. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Diana “Elaine” Barker Brandt.

Mr. Brandt enjoyed watching racing and flying remote control airplanes. He loved spending time with his family and friends.

Mr. Brandt is survived by one son, Donn Brandt and wife Ashlie of Mooresville; two stepsons, James Greer and wife Susan of Jefferson and Jeff Greer and wife Penney of Fuquay-Varina; one brother, Jim Brandt and wife Maria of Alabama; one sister, Gail Brandt of Lansing; three grandchildren, Bryce, Taylor, and Brooke; also surviving are several nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 12 noon, July 1, 2023 at the home.  For details please contact Donn or Ashlie Brandt.
