Jeanne Marie McDermott

Jeanne Marie McDermott, age 69 of West Jefferson died Thursday, December 20, 2018 at her home.  Mrs. McDermott was born Thursday, December 8, 1949 in LaPort Indiana to the late Vincent Patrick and Betty Elaine Barnhard McDermott.  Jeanne had a passion for animals and enjoyed caring for her dogs as well as volunteering at the local rescue, Happy Tails.  She also loved music, quilting and yoga.  Traveling (especially to Ireland) was also one of Jeanne's favorite things to do.

Mrs. McDermott is survived and will be missed by her husband, Robert Brown, two step-daughters, Mary Elizabeth Barker of Livedo, Florida and Kathleen Marie Lively of Woodstock, Georgia; cousin, Mary Edith McDermott of Southbend, Indiana; nephew, Paul Tanner of Washington; brother-in-law, Will Randall of Lake Placid, Florida and Jeanne's special friend, Robin Tuttle of Grassy Creek.  Also surviving are step-granddaughters, Brooke and Bethany Barker, Amber and Anna Lively.

In lieu of food and flowers Jeanne's wish was for memorials to be made to support Greyhound rescue groups that include:
