J. M. Williams

J. M. Williams, age 91 of Creston, passed away Friday, May 27, 2022 at Watauga Medical Center.  Mr. Williams was born May 23, 1931 in Ashe County to the late W. D. and Laura Jane Denny Williams.  In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his wife, Norma “Peggy” Dunn Williams. J. M. enjoyed working on cars doing mechanic work.  He was employed by H & W Oil Co. in West Jefferson for many years.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm Monday, May 30, 2022 at Ashelawn Memorial Chapel by Rev. Mike Farmer and Rev. Spencer Roark.  Burial will follow in Ashelawn Memorial Gardens.  The family will receive friends from 2:00 – 3:00 pm prior to the service.

Mr. Williams is survived by his son, Rev. Jimmy Williams and wife Peggy of Warrensville, his daughter, Debbie Puckett and husband Steve of Banner Elk, grandchildren, Darrell Robinson, Jimmy and Jacob Puckett, Joey, Jamie and Josh Williams. 18 great-grandchildren, 14 great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive.

Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Medi-Home Hospice, PO Box 421, Jefferson, NC  28640.

The family respectfully request no food please.
