Icel (Pruitt) Howell

Icel Pruitt Howell age 94 of Lansing died on Monday, July 4, 2022 at her home. Mrs. Howell was born in Wilkes County on June 8, 1928 to the late Roanza and Minerva Wagner Pruitt. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband, Wiley Webb Howell, second husband, Hugh Curtis and 12 siblings. Icel was a member of Mt. Jefferson Baptist Church. She enjoyed keeping house. Mrs. Howell had a servant’s heart and drove for years for meals on wheels.

Graveside services will be held on Friday, July 8, 2022at 2:00 pm at Howell Hill Cemetery by Pastor Keith Casey.

Mrs. Howell is survived by: one son, Jeffrey Howell and wife Doris of West Grove, PA, one sister, Gretel Howell of Jefferson, three grandchildren, Jill Amanda Mahoney and husband Scott, Ashley Webb Howell, Lindsey Fenella Howell, one great-grandchild, Abbigail Christian Mahoney.  Many nieces and nephews also survive.
