Harold Thomas Hammons

Harold Thomas Hammons, age 80 of West Jefferson, died Sunday, July 3, 2022 at Margate Health and Rehab Center. Mr. Hammons was born August 15, 1941 in Ashe County to Wade Thomas and Doris Joines Hammons. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Jan Dancy and his wife Doris Lewis Hammons.  His hobbies included fishing, square dancing, and traveling. But his favorite thing was spending time and taking care of their grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, July 6, 2022 at 2:00 pm at Ashelawn Memorial Gardens by Rev. Lloyd Day.

Mr. Hammons is survived by:  daughter, Mitzi Trivett and husband Trent of West Jefferson; two grandchildren, Jadyn Trivett and Tayvn Trivett; sister, Susan Brooks and husband Dwight of Warrensville; also surviving is a nephew Jake Dancy and wife Beth.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hammons Chapel Christian Church, % Dorothy Shupe at 1631 Divide Rd, Mountain City, TN 37683.
