Grace (Wood) Holman

Mrs. Grace Wood Holman, age, 97 of Todd, died Friday, November 2, 2018 at Gordon Hospice House.  Mrs. Holman was born April 27, 1921 in Ashe County to the late Edward and Carrie McGuire Wood.  In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Holman, brothers, Howard, Ronder and Melvin Wood, sister, Betty Grubb and granddaughter, Glenda Nichols.  Grace was a member of Baldwin Community Church.  She loved God, her church and her family very much.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Monday, November 5, 2018 at Baldwin Community Church by Rev. Tim Roten and Rev. Kenneth Grubb.  Burial will follow in Bethany Cemetery. The family will receive friends 12 – 1 PM prior to the service.

Mrs. Holman is survived by, son, Bud Holman and wife Sylvia of Mooresville, daughters, Georgia Cruse and Peggy Crump both of Mooresville, Abbie McNeill Adkins and husband Charles of Stanley, NC and Janice Eller of Todd, brother, James Wood of Todd, sister, Rita Grubb of Todd, grandchildren, Teresa Bennett, Sherry Scott (Eddie), Diane Burkin, Regina Jackson (Les), Edwina Champion, Cindy Horton (Jerry), Selina Pryor (Tommy), William McNeill Jr., Jeff McNeill ( Mary), Philip McNeill (Dorothy), Celeste McNeill, Amy Dyson (Scott), Shelia Guiton, David Crump (Juanita), Kris Sowards (Vance Taylor), Aaron Neigum (Sari), Tim Hunter, Tina Presnell (Chip), William Eller (Michele) and Nick Taylor, 35 great-grandchildren, 27 great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
