Gary Lane Powers

Gary Lane Powers, age 56 of West Jefferson passed away Thursday, January 2, 2020 at his home.  Gary was born in Omaha, Nebraska on Tuesday, April 2, 1963 to Hearl Kenneth and Shirley Parsons Powers.  Mr. Powers was preceded in death by his father as well as his grandparents.

Mr. Powers is survived by his mother, Shirley Powers of West Jefferson, two brothers, Barry Powers of Lansing and Robert Powers of Wilkesboro, one sister, Sharon Hartzog of West Jefferson and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, January 5, 2020 at 2:00 pm at Badger Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Keith Woodie and Rev. Lloyd Day.  Burial will follow in the Obids Country Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 pm one hour prior the service.
