Edith Francis (Brooks) Blevins

Edith Francis Brooks Blevins, age 93 of Lansing, passed away Wednesday, October 26, 2022 at Forest Ridge Assisted Living.  Mrs. Blevins was born October 29, 1928 in Ashe County to the late Joseph Franklin and Ada McClure Brooks.  In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband, Parker Blevins, infant daughter, Judy Mae Blevins, sister, Jessie Brooks Wilcox and infant brother, Paul Brooks.  Edith faithfully attended Silas Creek Baptist Church.  Edith worked as a medical technician at the offices of Dr. Freeman, Dr. Dean C. Jones Sr., Dr. Dean C. Jones Jr. and Dr. Charles Jones.  She was always helping others and enjoyed helping her husband on the farm.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, October 29, 2022 at Badger Funeral Home Chapel by Elder Fred Richardson and Minister Danny Miller. Burial will follow in the Brooks-McClure Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 10:00 – 11:00 am prior to the service.

Mrs. Blevins is survived by her niece, Linda Rupard, great-nephew, Eric Rupard and wife Cindy, great-niece, Lisa Williams, great-great-nephews, Joseph and Justin Williams and Devin Rupard, great-great-niece, Molly Rupard and great-great-great niece, Rayland Williams.
