Carroll Clay Jones

Carroll Clay Jones, age 72 of Warrensville, died Friday, November 30, 2018 at his home.  Mr. Jones was born Thursday, December 27, 1945 in Ashe County, North Carolina to the late Carl Benjamin and Ella Handy Jones.  In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by brothers, Marvin, Wiley and Lum Jones as well as one sister, Martha Bennigan.  Carroll loved the outdoors and living in the mountains.  He was also a great woodworker.

Mr. Jones is survived and will be missed by one son, Timothy Clay Jones of Wilkesboro, one daughter, Samantha Dawn Parsons of Lansing, three brothers, Frank Jones of Creston, Ernie Jones of East Bend and Lonnie Jones of Jefferson as well as four sisters, Polly Eastridge of Warrensville, Louise Wingler of Piney Creek, Sally Eldridge and Joyce Medley both of Creston.  Four grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 4, 2018 at 2:00pm at Badger Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. David Lyalls and Rev. Dwayne Tester.  Burial will follow in the Clint-Gilley Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00pm one hour prior to the service.
