Carol Patricia (Jones) Johnson

Carol Patricia Jones Johnson, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 7, 2023 at Wilkes Health and Rehab at the age of 80. Carol was born on June 17, 1943 in Lansing, North Carolina to the late Kermit Clifton and Okla Fae Francis Jones. She will be remembered fondly for her warmth, kindness, and unwavering love for her family.

Carol loved to sew and will be remembered as a gifted seamstress. Her legacy of creativity and the cherished memories she stitched together will be treasured for generations to come.

Mrs. Johnson is survived by her husband, Dean Paul Johnson, one son, Barry Johnson (Barbara) of Yadkinville and one daughter, Sherry Barker (Ronnie) of Hays. She was a loving grandmother to her three grandchildren Amy Johnson, Amanda Canoy (Matt) and Haley Barker; and two great-grandchildren Timmy and Finleigh with one on the way.

Carol’s legacy will live on through the memories she created and the love she shared with all who had the privilege of knowing her. She leaves behind a family who will forever hold her in their hearts and friends that will miss her dearly.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, September 9, 2023 at 2:00pm at Ashelawn Memorial Chapel by Rev. David Sparks.  Burial will follow in Ashelawn Memorial Gardens in Jefferson, North Carolina.

The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00pm one hour prior to the service.
