Ardna Wood Trivett

Ardna Wood Trivett, age 94 of Deep Gap, NC died Sunday, October 1, 2017 at her home. Mrs. Trivett was born November 15, 1922 in Ashe County, North Carolina to Earl and Stella Bare Wood.  She was proceeded in death by her parents, her husband, Hurtle Ernest Trivett, her son, Paul Trivett as well as three brothers and two sisters.  In her spare time Ardna enjoyed going to yard sales and auctions as well as quilting and playing pea knuckle.  Mrs. Trivett was a loving mother and grandmother.  Time spent with family was very dear to her and she was known to mention them all by name in her daily prayers.

Mrs. Trivett is survived by two sons, Talmadge Trivett of West Jefferson and Ray Trivett of Montross, VA, two daughters, Nancy Kerhoulas and Joyce Farrington both of Deep Gap, two sisters, Sylvia Hardin of NY and Shirley Sheets of Jefferson.  Also surviving are twenty one grandchildren, forty three great-grandchildren, thirty one great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, October 5, 2017 at Badger Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Tim Roten.  Burial will follow in Bethany Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 2:00 PM prior to the service.
