Wilma Blevins Pruitt

Wilma Blevins Pruitt, age 66, of Lansing passed away on Monday, December 9, 2024 at Caldwell Memorial Hospital. Wilma was born on November 9, 1958, in Ashe County, North Carolina to the late Charlie and Ottie Brown Blevins. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by one daughter, Kristin Nicole Pruitt, two sisters, Anna Lee Heiber and Marion Charlene Gregory as well as one niece, Susan Louise Blevins.

She is survived by her husband, Bamba Pruitt, one daughter, Katrina Treadway (Quincy), two grandsons, Micheal Andrew Treadway (Kelsey) and Cody Austin Treadway, one granddaughter, Kristin Nicole Treadway, one brother, J.D. Blevins (Janie), one sister, Brenda Pruitt (Cabel) and great-granddaughter, Maddie Rae Treadway as well as several nieces and nephews also survive. Wilma also leaves behind her beloved dog “Buddy”.

Her family and friends will always cherish Wilma’s legacy as one of hard work, kindness, and laughter—a testament to a life well-lived. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

The family will receive friends on Friday, December 13, 2024 from 12:00-1:00pm at Ashelawn Memorial Chapel.

A Graveside Service will follow in the Scott-Blevins Cemetery by Rev. Jimmy Williams.

Flowers will be accepted. The family respectfully requests no food please.
