Timothy Owen Eachus, beloved husband, father, brother, and PaPaw, passed away peacefully on January 18, 2026 in Beckley, West Virginia. Born on September 17, 1958, to Mildred “Mickey” Barr and Owen Eachus, Tim grew up with a deep appreciation for family and the simple joys of life.
Tim proudly served his country in the U.S. Army and the National Guard. He earned an Associate Degree in Horticulture from Wilkes Community College and was self-employed as a landscaper, also working for many years in the Christmas tree industry. A true lover of the outdoors, Tim helped manage Twin Rivers Campground for six years. Demonstrating that it is never too late to pursue new goals, he later enrolled at Bluefield State University, where he graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering Technology.
Tim loved deeply and was known for his generous heart, acceptance of everyone, and unconditional love for his family. While he gave wholeheartedly, he required very little in return. He found joy in the mountains, a slice of chocolate pie, and a glass of sweet tea. His laughter and kindness touched everyone who knew him. He was welcomed into heaven by his parents and his special nephew, Alex Fidanza, and now rests in eternal peace.
Left to cherish his memory are his faithful wife, Shirley Eachus; his children, Natasha Eachus Snyder (Anthony), Nichole Eachus, Dustin Eachus, and Adam Carpenter (Margaret); his siblings, Bill Barr (Brenda), Penny Fidanza (Steve), Jody Barr (Makisha), and Beth Zeller (Clyde); and his greatest pride-his grandchildren: Tucker, Luke, Jadyn, Marley, Tristan, and Ava. Tim also leaves behind a special step-grandson, Braylon, and loving aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and countless friends who will forever remember his warmth and generosity.
The family extends heartfelt gratitude to the staff and doctors at the VA Medical Center in Beckley for their exceptional care, compassion, and friendship during Tim’s final months. In lieu of food or flowers, the family requests everyone to share a favorite memory of Tim.
