Shirley Ann Fitzgerald Howell

Shirley Ann Fitzgerald Howell, age 86 of Piney Creek passed away on Tuesday, December 2, 2025 at her home. She was born on March 3, 1939 in Alleghany County, North Carolina to the late Thurmond and Maude Sturgill Fitzgerald. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Edward Howell as well as her daughter, Sharon Gay Howell Paisley.

Mrs. Howell is survived by her son, Eddie Howell of Crumpler.

In keeping with her wishes, no formal services are planned. The family kindly ask that no food or flowers be sent at this time. Memorials may be made to any charity of the donor’s choosing.
