Reggie Dale Powers

Reggie Dale Powers, age 62 of Jefferson, passed away on Wednesday, May 27, 2026 at Forsyth Medical Center.

Mr. Powers was born on February 3, 1964 in Ashe County to Rev. Joseph Edward Powers and Pauline Church Powers. He was preceded in death by his father and a brother, Benny Powers.

Reggie will be remembered for his kind heart, gentle spirit, and the joy he found in simple pleasures. For more than 22 years, he enjoyed singing alongside his mother at Margate Health and Rehab, sharing music and bringing happiness to residents and staff alike. Reggie loved spending time outdoors, often walking the trails throughout the area and appreciating the beauty of nature. Although he never had children of his own, was always caring, compassionate, and attentive to the young people in his life. His warmth, generosity, and caring nature will be fondly remembered by all who knew him.

Funeral services will be held later in June.
