Patricia Ann Eller Finley, better known as Pat age 86 of Lansing passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 24, 2026 at Grayson Nursing and Rehab Center.

Mrs. Finley was born on September 18, 1940 in Alleghany County, North Carolina to the late John and Zella Mae Sturgill Eller. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by one brother, Burl Eller, one sister, Margaret “Nikki” Wilcox and her husband, George Lundy Finley Sr.

Mrs. Finley was a faithful woman who loved the Lord and treasured every opportunity to be in His house. She was a devoted member of New Bethel Baptist Church, where she enjoyed attending services, fellowshipping with others, and, most importantly, sharing her faith. She never hesitated to witness to those around her and loved telling others about the Lord and what He meant to her.

She was also known for keeping a neat and tidy home and took great pride in caring for the place she called home. Her beloved dog, Lilly, held a very special place in her heart. Lilly was more than a pet; she was her constant companion, and she could often be found carrying Lilly with her wherever she went.

Mrs. Finley is survived by: one son, Lundy Finley and wife, Cathy of Lansing, one brother, Johnny Eller of Lansing, two sisters, Brenda Ellison of West Jefferson, and her twin sister, Dorothy “Dottie” Goss of Lansing, two grandchildren, Tabetha Howell (Dave) and Justin Finley (Amanda), three great-grandchildren, Noah Finley (Daisy), Grayson Finley and Gracie Finley, one great great-granddaughter, Adalynn Grace Finley and several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, September 27, 2026 at 2:00 pm at New Bethel Baptist Church by Pastor Julian Owen and Elder Lundy Finley. Burial will follow in the Haw Orchard Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 3:00 pm on Saturday, September 26, 2026 at Ashelawn Memorial Chapel.

Her faith, kind spirit, love for others, and devotion to her family will be remembered and cherished by all who knew and loved her. She leaves behind a legacy of faithfulness and a life that reflected her love for the Lord.
