Hettie Brooks

Mrs. Hettie B. Brooks of Jefferson died Thursday, July 5, 2007 at Segraves Care Center in Jefferson. Mrs. Brooks was born March 6, 1911 in Ashe County, NC to Curtis and Hettie Shatley Blevins. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Tom Brooks. Funeral services were held Saturday, July 7, 2007 at 11:00am at Ashelawn Memorial Chapel in Jefferson with Rev. Joe Riley Blevins officiating. Burial followed in Ashelawn Memorial Gardens. The family received friends from 10:30-11:00am Saturday prior to the service at Ashelawn Memorial Chapel. Flowers were accepted or memorials may be made to Ashe Services for the Aging, PO Box 9, West Jefferson, NC 28694 or Segraves Nursing Care Center Activities Fund, 200 Hospital Ave., Jefferson, NC 28640.
