Gregory Allen Main, better known as “Greg,” age 54 of Jefferson, passed away on Sunday, August 2, 2026.

In his younger years, Greg loved playing his guitar. He was a passionate sports fan who enthusiastically cheered on the Alabama Crimson Tide, the Washington Football Team/Redskins, Washington Nationals and NASCAR. Above all, he cherished time spent with those he loved. He worked at Head Start as a custodian. He was preceded in death by his fiancée and the love of his life, Barbara Pruitt.

Greg is survived by: C.L Main and Juanita Ham Main, both of Jefferson; a sister, Missy Burgess (Rex) of Jefferson; a nephew, Chance Burgess (Makayla) of Millers Creek; his cat, Maggs; several aunts, uncles, and cousins also survive.

The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:30pm on Friday, August 7, 2026, at Ashelawn Memorial Chapel.

A graveside service will follow in the Main Cemetery in Meat Camp with Rev. Eugene Ward officiating.
