Mrs. Carolyn Lemly Moser, age 69, of Fleetwood, passed away Wednesday, April 29, 2026, at Duke University Hospital.

Carolyn was a devoted and caring woman of faith who dedicated her life to helping others. She was born in Ashe County on September 12, 1956, to Richard Waugh and Minnie Carolyn Wood Lemly. She retired as a registered nurse after 45 years of service at Watauga Medical Center. Throughout her husband’s military career, she worked in several locations, including Germany, Phoenix, and Colorado Springs. She was lifelong member of New River Calvary Church, where she played the piano. She loved crafts, maintaining her own craft room at home.

Mrs. Moser is survived by her husband of 49 years, John Moser; a son, Richie Moser and wife Denise, of Jefferson; two grandsons, Wyatt and River Moser; three brothers, James Lemly and wife Vicki, Fred Lemly and wife Sandy, and Keith Lemly and wife Michele, all of Fleetwood; two sisters, Evelyn Lemly and Ellen Church and husband Cline, both of Fleetwood; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, May 3, 2026, at 2:00pm Bethany United Methodist Church with Rev. Roger Perry and Rev. Joye Perry officiating. Burial will follow in Bethany Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 PM on Saturday, May2, 2026, at Ashelawn Memorial Chapel.
