Born in Ashe County on December 22, 1942, to the late Kellon James Dixon and Faye Finley Dixon, Betty lived a life rooted in faith, family, and hard work. She retired from Leviton Manufacturing after years of dedicated service and was a faithful member of Sabbath Home Baptist Church. Above all else, Betty was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother whose warmth and love touched everyone around her.

She is survived by her devoted husband: Bill Eldreth; a son: Terry Eldreth of Lansing; a daughter: Sandra Ball (Aaron) of West Jefferson; a grandson: Derek Ball (Stephanie) of Concord; two great-grandchildren: Mattie Caroline Ball and Mackenzie Kay Ball; three brothers: Bill Dixon (Ann) of Warrensville, John Dixon (Veleda) of Winston-Salem, and Gerald Dixon of High Point; three sisters: Fredia Jeandell (Frank) of Delaware, Hilda Richardson of High Point, and Pat Freeman of High Point; several nieces and nephews also survive.

Betty was preceded in death by two brothers, Willard Dixon and Charles Dixon, and three sisters, Ilene Weaver, Juanita Blevins, and Anita Dixon.

Funeral Service will be held on  Thursday, September 10, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Ashelawn Memorial Chapel, officiated by Rev. Richard Harrold and Rev. Joey McClure. Burial will follow in the Goss Family Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00pm on Thursday, September 10, 2026; one hour prior to the funeral service.
