Mrs. Barbara Ann Mabe Edwards, age 71, of Laurel Springs, passed away Friday, August 28, 2026, at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Sparta on September 24, 1954, she was the daughter of the late Clarence Jackson Mabe and Bertha Absher Mabe. In her spare time, Barbara enjoyed crocheting, needlepoint, and reading. Above all, she cherished the time spent with her family.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Tommy Edwards; two sons, Christopher "Chris" Lee Edwards and wife Kimberlee of Apex, NC, and Timothy "Tim" Lee Edwards and Kristin Briggs of Charlotte, NC; two grandchildren, Grace Elizabeth Edwards and Cooper Thomas Edwards; two aunts, and several cousins also survive.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, September 3, 2026, at 11:00 AM at the Whitehead Baptist Church Cemetery, with Rev. Lloyd Day officiating.
