Andrew Scott Richardson, better known as Andy, age 44 of West Jefferson passed away on Friday, March 13, 2026. He was born on October 31, 1981 in Watauga County, North Carolina to Robert Glen and Patricia Rash Richardson. He was preceded in death by his father and grandparents, Charles and Marie Rash and Herbert and Betty Richardson.

Andy was known for his love of technology. He especially enjoyed working on computers, always eager to troubleshoot or improve something electronic. One of his favorite hobbies was flying his drone, capturing unique perspectives and spending time outdoors while exploring new views from above.

Andy also enjoyed his work at United Chemi-Con, where he was a dedicated employee and valued member of the team. He appreciated the work he did and the relationships he built with his coworkers.

Mr. Richardson is survived by his mother and step-father, Patricia Richardson Lindley and Andy Lindley of West Jefferson, brother, Kevin Richardson and wife, Abi of West Jefferson, nephew, Owen Richardson and niece Gracie Richardson. Several cousins also survive.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, March 21, 2026 at 4:00pm at Ashelawn Memorial Chapel by Rev. Guy Testerman and Rev. David Blevins. Burial will follow in Ashelawn Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 3:00-4:00pm one hour prior to the service.
