Mr. Franklin Delano Miller, age 80 of Millers Creek, died Sunday, May 20, 2018 at Glenbridge Health and Rehab Center. Mr. Miller was born February 20, 1938 in Wilkes County to the late John and Callie Bare Miller. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his wife, Judy Neaves Miller, brother, Howard Miller, sisters, Lorie Severt, Ora Mash and Goldie Roten and three infant siblings.
Mr. Miller retired from Tyson Foods after 29 years of service. Mr. Miller liked to do mechanic work and build things. He also enjoyed spending time outside, hunting and playing the guitar.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM Wednesday, May 23, 2018 at Badger Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Billy Wagoner. Burial will follow in the Miller Cemetery in Millers Creek. The family will receive friends from 11 – 12 prior to the service.
Mr. Miller is survived by, sons, John Miller (Donna) of Boone and James Stanbery (Abby) of Millers Cree, daughters, Lynn Winebarger (David) and Donna Blevins all of West Jefferson, sisters, Zula Miller of Jefferson and Ruby Miller (Ralph) of West Jefferson and Eva Johnson of Winston-Salem, 10 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild, several nieces and nephews.
Flowers will be appreciated or memorials may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
