Holiveen Ellison Cooper

Mrs. Holiveen "Holly" Ellison Cooper age 79, of Hickory, NC died on Sunday, July 12, 2015 at her residence. Mrs. Cooper was born on December 20, 1935 in Watauga County, NC to Samuel and Nancy Potter Ellison. Mrs. Cooper was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Hassel Cooper, son, Gary Hassel Cooper, daughter, Sandra Cooper Stilwell, four brothers, David, Jimmy, Ronnie, and Jerry Ellison, and sister, Ella Mae Bare. Mrs. Cooper was like a mother figure and had unconditional love for anyone she came in contact with.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 18, 2015 at 2:00 pm at Ashelawn Memorial Chapel by Minister Tim Canup. Burial will follow in Ashelawn Memorial Gardens.The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm on Saturday, July 18, 2015 at Ashelawn Memorial Chapel.

Mrs. Cooper is survived by: son, Douglas Cooper of Hickory, daughter, Deborah Sue Reed of Hickory, son, Curtis W. Cooper of Hickory and Sarasota, FL, three brothers, Kelly Ellison, Willard Ellison, Roy Ellison all of West Jefferson, two sisters, Eleene Michael of Mountain City, TN, and Loretta Stacey of Lynchburg, VA. Also surviving are 9 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
