Dennie Lee "Moe" Miller

Mr. Dennie Lee "Moe" Miller, age 68 of Statesville, NC died peacefully at his home on Wednesday, July 27, 2016. Mr. Miller was born on December 25, 1947 in Wilkes County, NC to Fletcher Hardin and Gladys Mary Roten Miller. Mr. Miller was preceded in death by his father, a sister, Ruth Miller Sheets, and a granddaughter, Anna Marie Sheets. Mr. Miller served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He enjoyed fishing, camping, and fixing cars.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 30, 2016 at 2:00 pm at Ashelawn Memorial Chapel by Rev. Jeff Lambert, Chuck Waltrup, and Leslie Noblett. Burial will follow in the Miller Cemetery with military rites.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm on Saturday, July 30, 2016 at Ashelawn Memorial Chapel.

Mr. Miller is survived by: Sons, Kory Miller and Jamie Sheets and wife Vanessa, both of Statesville; Daughter, Kristina Torrence of Statesville; Mother, Gladys Mary Miller of Jefferson; Sisters, Juanita Royal, Janie Sheets and Ellen Viers, all of Laurel Springs and Patricia Roark of West Jefferson; Special Friend, Connie Roberts and her children, Brad Roberts and Edna Dishman; Special Caregiver, Cassandra Plowman; Grandchildren, Keagan Torrence and Emma Sheets; also surviving are several nieces and nephews.
