Delray Campbell Worley

Delray Campbell Worley, age 96, of Lansing, NC died on Wednesday, November 12, 2014 at Villages of Wilkes in North Wilkesboro. Mrs. Worley was born on May 17, 1918 in Ashe County, NC to James Edward and Lydia Greer Campbell. Mrs. Worley was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Alfred Lenny Worley, son, Clayton Worley, grandson, Chris Worley and 8 brothers and sisters.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 15, 2014 at 11:00 am at the Peace Haven Community Church by Elder Lundy Finley. Burial will follow in the Blevins Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Friday, November 14, 2014 at Ashelawn Memorial Chapel in Jefferson.

Mrs. Worley is survived by: daughter, Betty Sue Jennings of North Wilkesboro; son, Robert Allen (Patricia) Worley of Jefferson; daughter-in-law, Sharon Worley of Lansing; also surviving are 9 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild and several nieces and nephews.

Flowers will be appreciated, or memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
