Dean Bobby Gilley

Mr. Dean Bobby Gilley age 76, of West Jefferson, died on Saturday, April 22, 2017 at his residence. Mr. Gilley was born on March 22, 1941 in Ashe County to the late Arthur and Lucretia Black Gilley. Mr. Gilley was a member of Smethport Baptist Church. He enjoyed hunting in his younger days and also enjoyed watching sports on television.

Funeral services will be held Friday, April 28, 2017 at 2:00 pm at Smethport Baptist Church by Rev. Phil Arnold and Rev. Chris Goodman. Burial will follow in Ashelawn Memorial Gardens with military rites.

The family will receive friends Thursday, April 27, 2017 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Ashelawn Memorial Chapel.

Mr. Gilley is survived by: Wife, June Richardson Gilley, two sons Keith Gilley and wife Deidra of Southport, Bobby Gilley of Statesville, two brothers, Edison Gilley of Lansing, Earl Gilley of Conowingo, MD, two sisters, Irene Eldreth of Warrensville, Beatrice Blevins of Lansing, two granddaughters, Morgan and Amelia Gilley; also surviving are several nieces and nephews.
